Even though SXSW is a few months in the past, DirectTV is highlighting some of the Austin music fest's best moments in a new season of 'Guitar Center Sessions.' And we've got an exclusive clip of Manchester rockers the 1975 performing 'Sex' onstage.

Filmed on an Austin rooftop this past March, the band gives a great performance of their song from last year's debut album. But even as you get wrapped up in the jaunty rhythm and raging guitars, the track is a bit more heartbreaking than that springy melody hints at. You can check it out above.

Basically, here's what's up: Some dude likes a girl who already has a boyfriend. Knowing he has no chance at a future with the girl, he proposes to keep things simple: "I'm not trying to stop you, love / If we're gonna do anything, we might as well just f---," sings frontman Matthew Healy.

'Sex' is one of the many tracks the 1975 perform on their episode of 'Guitar Sessions,' which premieres on Sunday at 8PM EST on DIRECTV’s Audience channel. Other artists this season include 311, Dawes, Chvrches and Cage the Elephant.
