2012 MuchMusic Video Awards Nominees Announced
With only a month to go before 2012's MuchMusic Video Awards winners are handed their trophies at the ceremony on June 17, it's time to announce the nominees -- an eclectic list of acts that includes Coldplay, Foster the People, Cobra Starship, Gym Class Heroes and Maroon 5.
The awards, now in their 22nd year, focus on Canadian artists, but the list of the 2012 MuchMusic Video Awards nominees makes room for a number of faces that will be familiar to American audiences, from established pop stars like Arcade Fire and Katy Perry to up-and-coming acts such as Lights and Arkells, whose latest album, already a hit in Canada, recently made its U.S. debut.
