South by Southwest, done. North by Northeast, coming later this month. That leaves Musicfest NW next to reveal its 2012 lineup plans.

Organizers have revealed that this year's event returns to Portland, Ore. from September 5-9. As with past years, the event will feature performers packing all of the city's main music venues. In all, over 150 acts will play in 16 different clubs.

The 2012 Musicfest NW lineup is led by two major acts returning with new records this year -- Silversun Pickups and Passion Pit. The bands will be joined by such other top notch talent as Girl Talk, Beirut, the Tallest Man on Earth, the Pains of Being Pure at Heart, F---ed Up, Dinosaur Jr., J. Mascis, Sebadoh, Redd Kross, Old 97's and Sloan (who are performing their 'Twice Removed' album in full).

Other acts who've signed on include Hot Snakes, Swans, the Helio Sequence, the Men, Purity Ring, Menomena, Danny Brown, Moonface, Tanlines, Lightning Bolt, Nite Jewel, Big Freedia, Black Mountain, Ceremony, Xiu Xiu, LP, Crystal Antlers, Hey Marseilles, Hazel, Big Business, Red Fang, King Khan and the Shrines, Omar Souleyman, Future Islands, Chelsea Wolfe, Jason Isbell and the 400 Unite, Craft Spells, Trust, Jonathan Toubin, Touche Amore, Julia Holter, Radiation City and Gardens and Villa, among others.
