Silversun Pickups’ infamous song ‘Lazy Eye’ is featured in the latest New World Supermarket commercial, which centers around a one night stand that develops into something special.
The one-minute spot starts off with the couple waking up together after meeting for the first time the night before. After getting ready for the day and eating breakfast, they head out to New World Supermarket, where they pick food for an afternoon picnic together. At the end of the ad, the couple realizes there is the potential of a new relationship with one another.
Silversun Pickups are from Los Angeles, Calif. and consisr of Brian Aubert, Nikki Monniger, Joe Lester, and Christopher Guaniao. ‘Lazy Eye’ was the third single from their debut album, ‘Carnavas.’ In 2007, the song reached the No. 2 spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 singles chart and the No. 5 spot on Billboard’s Hot Modern Rock chart. The track is also featured in ‘Guitar Hero: World Tour’ and ‘Rock Band 2.’
Silversun Pickups will be touring North America this summer in support of their new album ‘Neck of the Woods,’ which was released earlier this month.
