The Black Keys' 'El Camino' has won the 2013 Grammy for Best Rock Album. The duo from Akron, Ohio, faced stiff competition for the coveted prize, but they've bested Coldplay, Bruce Springsteen, Muse and Jack White to take home the gramophone statues.

The Keys came into the 2013 Grammys nominated in five categories, and if you count singer-guitarist Dan Auerbach's Producer of the Year nod, the garage rockers stood to win six times. Release in December 2011, 'El Camino' earned rave reviews and helped catapult the band into the mainstream. Auerbach and drummer Pat Carney spent 2012 headlining arenas and proving that bare-bones rock 'n' roll -- guitar, drums, vocals and not much else -- hadn't gone out of style.
