The upcoming thriller ‘Out of the Furnace,’ starring Christian Bale, Zoe Saldana, Casey Affleck and Woody Harrelson, tells the troubling story of two brothers, one of whom winds up in prison, while the other one gets tangled up in crime. What’s the song featured in the gripping trailer?

The melancholy tune is ‘Release’ by Pearl Jam, from their debut studio album, ‘Ten,’ which dropped in 1991 via Epic Records. It landed at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart back in 1992 and remains their most commercially successful record to this day.

Fun fact: In February of this year, ‘Ten’ reached sales of more than 10 million copies.

“On ‘Ten,’ Pearl Jam — descended from the late, lamented Mother Love Bone — hurtles into the mystic at warp speed,” wrote Rolling Stone in a 1991 review. “They wring a lot of drama out of a few declarative power chords swimming in echo.”

The album was reissued in 2009, and the re-release included several bonus tracks: 'Brother,' 'Just a Girl,' 'Breath and a Scream,' 'State of Love and Trust,' '2,000 Mile Blues' and 'Evil Little Goat.' It was also made available as a ‘Rock Band’ video game download.
