Torres Announces Sophomore Album, ‘Sprinter’ + Debuts New Single

Torres – the brainchild of singer-songwriter Mackenzie Scott – will follow up her 2013 self-titled debut with her sophomore effort, ‘Sprinter.’ In anticipation of its arrival, she’s unveiled the LP’s lead track, ‘Strange Hellos,’ which can be heard below:

The song’s quiet, introspective intro isn’t too far a cry from Torres’ first full-length, but there’s also a menacing quality to the first 50 seconds that sets us up for what’s to come: an outburst of gritty guitars and Scott’s bitter scowls and outright screams.
