Maynard James Keenan -- of Tool, A Perfect Circle and Puscifer -- has clearly been a busy dude and has put some miles on his body over the years, so much so that he was left with, as he put it in an Instagram post from today (June 2), "no cushion in my right hip." The photo also revealed that Keenan underwent a successful right hip replacement yesterday, and that he's already back on his feet:

It seems like the operation should leave Keenan with enough bounce in his step to juggle his busy music life. A Perfect Circle has supposedly had "75% of the foundation" for their next album done since 2013, although all has been quiet on that front since then. His most recent work as side/solo project Puscifer was the 2013 EP Donkey Punch The Night, but again, there's nothing announced on the horizon there.

Tool, however, have been teasing a new album for the past couple months, and their follow-up to 2006′s 10,000 Days is expected to be released at some point this year.
