This year’s Academy Awards nominees were announced today, and Arcade Fire’s Win Butler, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ Karen O and U2 are among those up for Oscars.

Butler and Canadian composer Owen Pallett’s work for the Spike Jonze film ‘Her’ is nominated for Best Original Score. Karen O’s ‘Moon Song’ — also from ‘Her’— is a contender for Best Original Song. She’ll have her work cut out for her, though, as U2’s ‘Ordinary Love’ is also nominated, and the ‘Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom’ song already won the award at last Sunday’s Golden Globes.

Surprisingly, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes’ Alex Ebert, who won the Golden Globe for Best Original Score for work on ‘All is Lost,’ did not receive an Oscar nomination.

The Oscars air on March 2 on ABC.
