The Ting Tings know how to have fun -- they pretty much ooze fun from every pore of their rock star bodies -- but they also know when it's time to get down to business. You don't get to be as successful as they are without some serious hard work, and it's that very attitude that's behind a new commercial for the Acura ILX luxury sedan that features the Ting Tings tune 'Hit Me Down Sonny.'

The clever spot employs a split screen effect, with the left side portraying scenes in the life of an office worker in a suit and tie as he gets up and leaves a meeting, greeting coworkers as he strolls through said office and out to his Acura ILX in the parking garage as he's ready to leave for the day.

On the right side of the split, the same man is pictured synchronistically in more casual nightlife wear as he gets up from a table at a club, struts through said club saying goodbyes to his buddies and out to his same Acura ILX. The message? The ILX works in the serious office setting but can still get down and party with the best of them.

"Life should be equal parts responsibility and fun," intones a voice over as the man approaches his ride. "Introducing the new Acura ILX. Move up. Without settling down," goes the tagline. The guy then gets in his car and drives off into the neon night, likely leaving the club a little early to go home so he can get up in the morning and do it all over again.

'Hit Me Down Sonny' is the fourth and most recent single off stylish Brit duo the Ting Tings' 'Sounds from Nowheresville' album, which hit stores earlier this year. The song fits the ad perfectly, with lyrics like "It's honest, I'm ticking those boxes" invoking the life of a working man, while Jules De Martino's big dance beats and singer Katie White's fiery rapping flow bring the fun.
