Listen to Alden Penner’s New Song, ‘Meditate,’ Feat. Michael Cera

Last month, ex-Unicorns singer-guitarist Alden Penner revealed that he recorded a new song with actor Michael Cera. Now we can listen to the resulting track, a winding, nine-minute cut called ‘Meditate.’ The new song features vocals from both Cera and 12-year-old Felix Tymoshenko -- take a listen below:

The song follows Penner’s ‘JUNE 04’ EP, which contains demos he made 10 years ago -- just around the time the Unicorns disbanded. The Canadian artist will follow up with his sophomore solo album, which is slated for a June release. Penner dropped his very first solo LP, ‘Exegesis,’ last year.

The Unicorns temporarily reunited last fall for a handful of gigs, including a couple opening for the Arcade Fire in L.A. and New York, plus another in their hometown of Montreal.
