Anberlin, ‘Alexithymia (Live and Acoustic)’ – Exclusive Song Premiere
Since their 2003 debut, ‘Blueprints for the Black Market,’ Florida’s Anberlin have forged a steady decade-long career, winning fans with a cinematic brand of indie rock noted for its Christian undertones.
On Oct. 15, the sextet — Stephen Christian (vocals), Joseph Milligan (guitar), Deon Rexroat (bass), Nathan Young (drums) and Christian McAlhaney (guitar) — release a special edition of their 2012 album ‘Vital.’ ‘Devotion: Vital Special Edition’ compiles new and previously unreleased material along with remixes and live recordings.
In anticipation of the two-disc set, Diffuser.fm is excited to offer an exclusive premiere of ‘Alexithymia’ (stream below). The song, which originally appeared on 2007’s ‘Cities,’ is one of the live recordings on ‘Devotion’ captured during a performance at the Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn, N.Y., during an all-acoustic tour.
‘Devotion’ will contain more than 30 tracks, and the band will also release a three-disc ‘Devotion Deluxe Edition,’ with 44 tracks and a DVD documenting the aforementioned acoustic tour. If you can’t wait until Oct. 15, head over to iTunes and pre-order the album now.
