Animal Collective Announce 2012 Tour Dates

Animal Collective have wild plans for the year. Not only are they dropping a new record in September 2012, but they are also embarking on a headlining tour in support of their new album.

The Baltimore-based band are best known for their experimental, electronic rock sound as well as their love for psychedelic visuals. Their upcoming full-length album is titled 'Centipede Hz' and serves as a follow-up to their well-received 2009 release of 'Merriweather Post Pavilion.' The new record is scheduled to come out on September 4 on Domino Records.

The band have released a few teasers to give us a taste of what's to come. Click here for a comprehensive track listing of the forthcoming album along with a trailer for it. According to Pitchfork, a single from 'Centipede Hz' will make a debut some time this summer.

Their tour this fall will run the course of two months, kicking off in Seattle, Wash. and drawing to a close in Zurich, Switzerland. Make sure to check out the full list of tour stops below to see if Animal Collective are coming to a city near you.
