Just after unveiling the artwork for their new album, 'Centipede Hz,' a couple of weeks ago, Animal Collective have changed the cover and given a rundown of what would be included on the bonus DVD for the Sept. 4 release.

The revised cover for 'Centipede Hz' retains the 'Little Shop of Horrors'-like mouth and overall visual theme, but the digital effects and title have been significantly revamped, and as Exclaim points out, is more colorful and doesn't look like it's about to vomit a messy pile of graphics.

A bonus DVD will be included with pre-orders of 'Centipede Hz' that features live footage, like Animal Collective's performance at Brooklyn, N.Y.'s Prospect Park last summer. The extra disc will also contain a super high-resolution 24-bit/96K playback of the album, which is significantly better than your standard CD or digital download. More information about the various packages available for 'Centipede Hz' can be found here.

Animal Collective will embark on a significant fall tour starting Sept. 18 in Seattle, Wash. They will stay in the United States through Oct. 5 in Brooklyn before heading overseas in November. The psychedelic outfit will pass through countries like France, England, Sweden, Germany and more before wrapping things up on Nov. 20 in Switzerland.
