Animal Collective will return with their new album Painting With by the week’s end, and today (Feb. 15), they have dropped one final preview.

“Golden Gal” is the third track to emerge from the electronic outfit’s first album since 2012’s Centipede Hz. It’s another bright, jaunty tune, and (arguably) even better, it opens with a sample of The Golden Girls. The bit of dialogue is pulled from a 1985 episode. Beatrice Arthur’s Dorothy can be heard saying, “No, Blanche, she’s upset they keep changing the taste of Coke.” We recommend listening to the whole song, though, and that can be done at the top of the page. (The new track is accompanied by an equally vibrant, animated visual.)

Painting With is due out this Friday (Feb. 19) via Domino. The band has already shared lead single “FloriDada” and “Lying in the Grass” via their Painting With iPhone app.

Animal Collective will launch a U.S. tour this Friday as well. It all starts with a show in Philadelphia followed by more dates across the country scheduled through mid-March. They then head to Europe, but they'll return to the states in April. See their complete itinerary right here.
