Arcade Fire’s Regine Chassagne Is Pregnant

There's a baby on the way for the Arcade Fire, as vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Regine Chassagne is pregnant with her first child. The father is her partner, Arcade Fire frontman Win Butler.

The NME reports that Chassagne was spotted looking "very pregnant" in Montreal on Saturday, Feb. 23, as she performed at the Kanpe Kanaval, a fundraiser for her nonprofit organization Kanpe, which is devoted to rebuilding Haiti, the birthplace of her parents.

This is shaping up to be a fertile time for Arcade Fire, and not just because the band is working on its new album, which will be the follow-up to 2010's 'The Suburbs.' Band member Mariska Shaw, who also played the recent Kanpe benefit, is also expecting a child.

So there are a pair of babies on the way for the Arcade Fire's extended family. Perhaps the children of the members will eventually form their own band. With all that talent-rich DNA coursing through their veins, it seems like a good idea, no?
