The music of Las Vegas-based rock band Imagine Dragons is featured in the latest U.K. commercial for the forthcoming adventure video game 'Assassin's Creed 3.'

The song in the ad is Imagine Dragons' second hit single, 'Radioactive.' The melodic track with the plodding beat might not seem like the most natural fit for a violent Colonial-era video game, but it may have been chosen for some of its relevant lyrics, like "It's a revolution" and "Welcome to the new age," both of which are heard in the commercial.

The tune plays alongside game scenes of British redcoats fighting American settlers on land and at sea. They fight with guns, cannons, and bows and arrows in snowy New England landscapes and even have to fend off hungry bears at one point.

'Radioactive' reached No. 11 on the Billboard Rock Songs chart. It comes from the album 'Night Visions,' which debuted at No. 2 in September on the strength of 83,000 units sold. The band performed the song on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' that week to promote the new record.

'Assassin's Creed 3' will be released over the next several weeks on various formats, starting with Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on Oct. 30 in America and a day later in the U.K. An earlier promo for the game featured Bat for Lashes' 'Glass.'
