If you're familiar with neo-folk crooner Father John Misty, you likely know that his outward presence outside of his music is a tad eccentric. Following the absolutely captivating live debut of lead single 'Bored In the U.S.A.,' the full advance promotional crush is on for the artist's sophomore LP, 'I Love You, Honeybear.'

As with any musician in the modern age, social media is an essential part of the pre-release process. For Father John Misty, that includes having his digital voice funneled through a bizarre stream of grammatically inept updates on Twitter and Facebook. Also, his Twitter account only follows one other: Wal-Mart.

Rumor has it that the artist's social accounts are run by Akiko, a Japanese fan/assistant, which would explain the fractured English present in each update. Do you think Akiko is real? Or is this a well orchestrated stunt organized by the already hard-to-pin-down Father John Misty?

Check out five distinct tweets below and judge for yourself. 'I Love You, Honeybear' drops Feb. 10 via Sub Pop.
