Babes in Toyland Announce North American Reunion Tour

Back in February, Babes in Toyland reunited for their first concert in 18 years during a show at the Roxy in L.A. Now, the Minneapolis punk outfit have announced a full-blown North American and European tour.

The trio -- featuring Kat Bjelland, Maureen Herman and Lori Barbero -- will kick off the North American leg of the tour on June 21 in their hometown. From there, they’ll make U.S. stops in St. Louis; Kansas City, Mo.; Salt Lake City; Portland, Ore.; Seattle; Covington, Ky.; and New York City. Check out a complete list of stops below. Tickets go on sale this Friday, May 29.

“There’s nothing better than playing music with your friends, traveling the country and all of the experiences that come with that,” Barbero said in a press release. “I’m one fortunate woman.”

Upon making the decision to reunite, Bjelland said, “It was brought to my attention that not only do we have a lot of diehard fans from back in the day, but also a whole new generation of kids -- my son Henry included -- that were eager to see us live. I felt some kind of obligation for them to see us, too.”

“But mainly, I just missed my girls and te feeling that comes from playing with them -- visceral live therapy,” she added.

Babes in Toyland officially broke up in 2001 after a more than 10-year career that helped paved the way for the Riot Grrrl movement. They released their third and final full-length, Nemesisters, in 1995.
