Last month, Baroness announced they would soon return with Purple, their first album since 2012’s Yellow & Green and a subsequent bus accident and lineup change. At the time of the forthcoming LP's announcement, the band debuted its lead single, the beautifully intricate “Chlorine & Wine.” Now, they've unveiled a music video for the song, which can be seen above.

The black-and-white clip, directed by Jimmy Hubbard, compiles behind-the-scenes footage of the band recording "Chlorine & Wine" in the studio. The song is as intense as it is ambitious, so it seems somehow fitting that the new video concludes with drummer Sebastian Thomson -- who joined Baroness following the departure of Allen Blickle -- seemingly laughing off the actual physical pain and exertion required of playing the nearly seven-minute cut.

Along with the new video, Baroness have shared a string of upcoming U.S. tour dates in support of Purple. The tour kicks off on Nov. 27 in Columbus, Ohio, before wrapping up on Dec. 20 in Brooklyn. Take a look at the complete itinerary below.

Purple is slated for a Dec. 18 arrival on the band’s new label, Abraxan Hymns. Previously, frontman John Baizley called the album the band’s “most fully realized” effort to date.

“Considering the amount of physical and mental energy spent writing it,” he said, “we have accomplished something which would have seemed impossible to us a couple of years ago.”
