A brand-new Beady Eye tune called ‘Flick of the Finger’ made its debut on a California radio station last Friday night (April 5), and you can check it out in the YouTube video above.

The track had been slated to premiere on U.K. DJ Zane Lowe’s Radio 1 show on April 15, but it arrived 10 days early in the States via Santa Monica College’s public radio station, KCRW.

Beady Eye frontman Liam Gallagher -- who you might also known from a little-known rock band called Oasis -- discussed their forthcoming record, the follow-up to 2011’s ‘Different Gear, Still Speeding, with the Sun last December.

“I hate the word ‘experimenting’, but we are definitely experimenting,” he said. “In five words, it’s ‘majestic,’ ‘imperial,’ ‘out there’ and, er, what was the other one? Oh yeah, ‘heavy.’”

The new album is due out some time this year. You can also catch Beady Eye at several upcoming fests, including T in the Park, V Festival and Summer Sonic Festival.
