'Austin City Limits,' the PBS show that has been curating and broadcasting some of the best music in the world, enters its 40th season this Saturday. The genre-spanning musical entity known as Beck will be ringing in this landmark occasion, and we're all lucky enough to get an advance taste of this upcoming episode.

In the above video, Beck performs his melancholy ballad, 'The Golden Age,' from 2002's 'Sea Change.' We could listen to this song all day while drifting lazily out to sea on a raft of rough-hewn logs strung together with vines, at peace with whatever fate brings to us. We can't help but wonder, though, if Beck wasn't uncomfortably warm in that heavy leather jacket.

Today also kicks off the Austin City Limits Music Festival. This year's festival has way too many artists to list here, but the standouts include Lorde, Pearl Jam, Foster the People, Lana del Rey, and yes, Beck. For the full lineup, visit the event website and remember to set your DVR for this Saturday's episode of 'Austin City Limits.'
