Beck showed up on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' last week and performed 'Blue Moon,' the same song he's been performing all over the place lately. (The other late-night Jimmy, Fallon, hosted a performance, as did 'Saturday Night Live.')

But apparently Kimmel's audience that night was treated to an after-show set by Beck and his band. And as you can see by the above video, which was shot by a giggling fan, Beck lightened up a little and had a bit more fun than he did with his new folk-leaning song from the 'Morning Phase' album.

First they busted out a cover of Michael Jackson's eternal 'Billie Jean,' which was about as funky as you'd expect from a bunch of white guys from Los Angeles who are used to backing a wiseass dude who made his name rapping nonsense over junkyard rhythms. But it's certainly passable.

Then after they mess up 'Billie Jean''s chorus -- Beck even wants to go back and try it again -- they move into 'Sissyneck' from his 1996 masterpiece 'Odelay.' It's a pretty seamless transition, considering the whole thing almost spiraled out of control a minute or so earlier.

You can watch the video above. And here's Beck performing 'Blue Moon' on Kimmel's show last week, in case you're in the mood for something a little more mellow.
