Reading this story's title may sound like Beck premiered some new song called "Hide and Seek," but lest we try and fool you, the celebrated tunesmith actually played a game of hide and seek with The Late Late Show's James Corden.

Joining in on the fun and games were actor Jeff Goldblum and a guy named Tommy, whose home is where last night's (April 2) episode was filmed.

Disappointingly, Beck was easily found hiding under a rug on the floor. "When was the last time you vacuumed," he asked upon being discovered -- check it out in the video above.

The show, complete with Corden's band leader Reggie Watts and a very small audience, was filmed at a random person's house, and as you might expect, the aforementioned Tommy was thrilled to meet Beck. "I have five of your albums on vinyl," Tommy told Beck.

In addition to hide and seek and meeting Tommy, Beck also performed a version of "Country Down" -- from his Grammy-winning Morning Phase -- live in the dining room!

Corden, who just recently took over as host of The Late Late Show (replacing Craig Ferguson), is obviously aiming to make the show his own with unique stunts like this. We can't wait to see what else he has in store this year.
