Less that two weeks after his appearance on 'Saturday Night Live,' Beck returned to a late-night NYC TV-show stage last night to play a couple of songs from his new album.

But unlike most artists on the promotional trail, Beck treated 'The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon' audience to two different tracks from 'Morning Phase': 'Waking Light' and 'Say Goodbye.'

The moodiness of the new album is really reflected in his performance of 'Waking Light,' which you can watch above. The song is heavy on piano and relies on the steady building of harmonizing vocals.

Whatever 'Waking Light' may lack in grandeur, 'Say Goodbye' more than makes up for. With an army of stringed instruments -- including a banjo to add some finger-picking goodness -- and Father John Misty's J. Tillman, the folksy cut layers up the voices with help from Beck's backing band.

You can watch 'Say Goodbye' below.
