Ben Gibbard Plays ‘Conan’ With Mariachi Band

Ben Gibbard is moving on from his former life and this week's news that his divorce from Zooey Deschanel has been finalized. Last night (Dec. 21), the Death Cab for Cutie frontman appeared on 'Conan' to perform 'Something’s Rattling (Cowpoke),' a song from his most recent solo album 'Former Lives,' backed by none other than the Los Angeles-based mariachi outfit Trio Ellas. Surrounded by the eight-piece group and standing behind two microphones (one employed exclusively for his "Woo-ooh-oooh"-ing), Gibbard sang sans guitar, leaving his hands free to ... well, we'll let you check it out on your own.
