Fittingly, Chicago electronic indie duo Bestfriends comprises two old pals, Greg Shanahan and Nick Scalise, whose history goes all the way back to preschool. After many a full-band project together, the two decided to cut the fat in this phase of their career as musicians and go with the "two heads are better than five" approach. Drawing influence from acts such as Daft Punk, Jamiroquai, Kavinsky and Prince, Bestfriends compose, produce, record and perform all of their sexified electro-pop themselves, partnering only with a live drummer.
