Australian indie-pop songstress Betty Who stopped by to shoot an exclusive performance of her song ‘Silas’ for our #NextUp performance series of emerging artists.

The platinum blonde Aussie filled the entire room with a chilling, stripped-down rendition of the song -- not unlike the “quiet reverence hanging in the air” she sings of in ‘Silas.’ The song is a perfect example of the control Who wields over her own range — breathlessly transitioning from her powerful full voice to heartbreakingly vulnerable.

The ballad is the last track to appear on Who’s ‘Slow Dancing’ EP, which landed back in April. It followed the singer-songwriter’s debut EP, 2013’s ‘80s-infused ‘The Movement.’ The electro-pop gem brought with it her breakout hit, ‘Somebody Loves You,’ which earned Who a spot on countless artists-to-watch lists.

So, if you haven’t heard of the next big thing in pop, now’s your chance. Check out her her performance of 'Silas' in the above video.
