We still don't know what sent Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong to the hospital on Sunday (Sept. 2), forcing the band to cancel a concert in Bologna, Italy, but we do know it won't keep him from performing at the VMAs this Thursday.

Although there's been no statement from the band, MTV has posted an exclusive report claiming that all three members of Green Day will be in Los Angeles for VMA rehearsals today. The awards show, which is making its Staples Center debut this year, is scheduled for Thursday at 8PM.

Green Day's set will reportedly include the debut performance of a track from their upcoming album trilogy -- '¡Uno!,' '¡Dos!,' and '¡Tre!' -- just weeks before the first installment's Sept. 25 release.

As MTV notes, this year marks Green Day's fourth VMA performance; the band will appear alongside an eclectic array of artists that includes One Direction, Taylor Swift, Pink and Frank Ocean. The network will kick off its festivities with a 'Jersey Shore' retrospective (aptly titled 'Gym, Tan, Look Back') and a pre-show segment hosted by Demi Lovato.
