Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong and singer Norah Jones might seem like an odd duo, but the pair recorded an album together in 2013 – and Foreverly was actually a charming pairing. Last night (June 24), the two got back together for a surprise show at Bowery Electric in New York City. Green Day fan club members were alerted of a performance from Armstrong, but Jones' involvement was a secret. Watch fan-shot footage of the duo performing "Roving Gambler" – a traditional tune famously performed by The Everly Brothers – below.

Armstrong and Jones performed the entirety of Foreverly – a reinterpretation of The Everly Brothers' 1958 album Songs Our Daddy Taught Us – to a crowd of about 200 people. For the encore, they played a cover of Carl Perkins' "Sure to Fall (In Love With You)."

The two were never able to tour in support of the album, so this seems about as close as they've been able to get to that. There's no word yet whether last night's show was a one-time deal or not. Regardless, check out the setlist below.
