Watch the Black Keys Cover Edwyn Collins’ ‘A Girl Like You’

Danny Clinch

You probably haven’t heard Edwyn Collins’ ‘A Girl Like You’ since 1995’s ‘Empire Records,’ and you’ve certainly never heard it quite like this before.

The Black Keys have taken to performing Collins’ claim to fame during their current headlining tour in support of their latest album, ‘Turn Blue.’ As frontman Dan Auerbach says in the video below from their concert in Columbus, Ohio, they performed the song for the first time at that show on Sept. 5 and Pitchfork reports the Keys have also since played it at gigs in Grand Rapids, Mich., and Toronto.

‘Turn Blue,’ the duo’s eighth full-length, was released in May via Nonesuch.
