Self-described "flower punk" outfit the Black Lips turn in a cover of 'Mamas Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up to be Cowboys,' the 1975 country classic by Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings, on a split 7-inch single due April 20 for Record Store Day. The flip side of the split features Nebraska-based eletcro-pop act Icky Blossoms covering Siouxsie and the Banshees’ 'Arabian Knights.'

The Lips' take on 'Cowboys' is ramshackle and slightly out of tune, but overall, it's pretty brilliant. Icky Blossoms, meanwhile, turn in a rather faithful stab at the Banshees' 1981 U.K. hit.
