A couple of months ago, Blitzen Trapper announced they would release a live album chronicling their two-night stint at Portland’s Doug Fir Lounge during which they performed Neil Young’s Harvest from front to back. The alt-country rockers’ Live Harvest isn’t due out until Record Store Day on April 18, but on Friday (April 10), they revealed their rendition of the iconic 1972 cut, “Heart of Gold.”

When the Portland outfit announced the forthcoming live album, frontman Eric Earley said Harvest came very naturally to the band, saying it “takes us to that place of comfort and nostalgia.” They certainly sound at home on “Heart of Gold.” Take the newly minted track for a spin below (via Stereogum):

Blitzen Trapper dropped their most recent full-length, VII, back in 2013. They recorded Live Harvest during a tour in support of VII, and now they’ll take their Neil Young set on the road as well. Check out a complete list of dates -- which kick off in Columbia, S.C., tnoight (April 11) -- below:
