Blondie will return this spring with a new studio album, Pollinator, featuring collaborations with a diverse array of guests that includes Johnny Marr, TV on the Radio's Dave Sitek, Nick Valensi of the Strokes, Sia, and Charli XCX.

The set's first single, "Fun" — which you can stream via the above embed — is out now, and included as a pre-release download with digital pre-orders of the new LP. The song is also being made available as a special limited-edition 7" vinyl single, pressed in a 1000-copy run that fans can pre-order through independent music retailers.

Pollinator is scheduled to arrive in stores May 5 via BMG. According to the press release announcing the new album, the sessions saw the band working with producer John Congleton, whose credits include recordings by St. Vincent and David Byrne, and who cut the basic tracks with Blondie live in the studio alongside guests like Marr, Joan Jett, and Laurie Anderson. As singer Deborah Harry notes, the album's star-studded lineup reflects the group's legacy — and its overall approach to making music.

"Their material is part of us and we are part of them," said Harry. "It’s a celebration of recycling!"

In addition to the usual CD and digital releases, Pollinator will be available on red and white heavyweight vinyl — the latter of which, like the 7" "Fun" release, is being released as an indie retailer exclusive.
