Yesterday (Dec. 12), Dev Hynes (aka Blood Orange) played his two “Blood Orange and Friends” charity concerts at the Apollo Theater in Harlem. Those in attendance were treated to a special surprise: the Cupid Deluxe singer’s exclusive collaborative tape with Nelly Furtado.

The Hadron Collider tape was only available at the shows in Harlem, which benefitted Opus 118 Harlem School of Music. Hynes broke the news via Instagram just before taking the stage (see below).

One fan also caught the two singers covering a bit of Phil Collins’ “Another Day in Paradise” before seguing into Furtado’s “Say It Right.” Check that out at the top of the page. Hynes also brought out frequent collaborator Solange to perform the younger Knowles sister's "Losing You" and cover Marvin Gaye's "Inner City Blues." You can see those clips, plus more photos from the concert, below.

Hynes dropped Cupid Deluxe back in 2013. More recently, he's shared a handful of standalone singles: "Sandra's Smile" and "Do You See My Skin Through the Flames?"
