Veteran Britpop quartet Blur performed on the BBC's Radio 2 network last week (April 24), appearing on The Chris Evans Breakfast Show and delivering acoustic versions of two new songs, "My Terracotta Heart" (check it out above) and "Lonesome Street" (below). The tracks are featured on The Magic Whip, Blur's first full-length offering since 2003's Think Tank; the album is out today in England and tomorrow in the U.S.

Perhaps an indication of what The Magic Whip has in store, the subdued vibe of "My Terracotta Heart" is contrasted starkly with the more upbeat "Lonesome Street," which features a kazoo solo. After the solo, it sounds as if frontman Damon Albarn narrowly avoids breaking out in laughter. The radio performance also included the Blur classics "Parklife" and "This Is a Low" -- get more info on the show here.

The Magic Whip marks the band's eighth studio album and easily one of the most-anticipated releases of 2015. Stateside fans are keeping their fingers crossed that Blur will venture across the pond to tour in support of the new LP.
