Since forming in 1989, Blur have put out seven albums and won a grand total of zero Grammys on the back of only one nomination. Gorillaz, the cartoon offshoot band frontman Damon Albarn formed in 1998, on the other hand, has released three studio albums and won one Grammy over the course of nine nominations. Sure, that's only won more Grammy win (a Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals trophy for their 2006 single 'Feel Good Inc.,' ft. De La Soul) and an extra eight loses, but, as a reworking of the old saying goes, it's better to have been nominated and lost than to not have been nominated at all.
