Maybe you know the name the Silver Lake Chorus and maybe you don't, but if you catch the occasional episode of 'Saturday Night Live' you've probably heard their music. The 25-member, Los Angeles-based choral group previously has contributed backing vocals to both the Lonely Island classic 'I Just Had Sex' and the 'MacGruber' theme song, and now they're coming out with an EP titled 'The Wreckage' featuring songs penned by Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon and New Pornographer’s A.C. Newman.

'The Wreckage' doesn't drop until Sept. 18, but in the meantime you can preview the Justin Vernon cut 'From the Snow Tipped Hills' below, which features a cappella arrangements perfectly composed for the vocal stylings of the sopranos, baritones and tenors in the Silver Lake Chorus. The two-track EP will be followed by an as-yet-untitled full-length album featuring guests like Beck, Zooey Deschanel and Tegan and Sara, Of Montreal and Aimee Mann, although a release date for that disc has not yet been announced.

The Silver Lake Chorus previously recorded its self-titled debut album with Ben Lee producing back in 2010. "All these kids have this amazing taste in music, their aesthetic is just so great and there's no veil of cynicism," Lee told Spinner of working with the group. "That enthusiasm is not something you find every day. I think that's really infectious and that's what's drawing all the artists in."
