Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy Condoms Sexed Up Record Store Day

You read that headline right. Not only were you able to find limited-edition vinyl for your record collection, but you could also buy limited-edition latex for Record Store Day this past Saturday (April 21).

In what had to be one of the most unexpected goodies available for the fifth annual RSD, which encourages music lovers to purchase from their local record shops, Bonnie 'Prince' Billy condoms were available for sale in the same place you could pick up the 7" Feistodon record.

Drag City gave a very spirited description when promoting the special jimmy hat:

Hey, sex-brain! A mouthful of breast (or man-ass!) tastes so good with mitt full of thigh (or man-thigh!), doesn't it now? But when it comes to making it past third base and sliding deliriously into home, sweet loam, you better hop on the sex beat with Bonnie 'Prince' Billy, girly-man!

Yeah, don't be a girly-man! If the photo above is making you scratch your head, there is a pretty good explanation. Bonnie 'Prince' Billy is nominated for two Italian Oscar Awards for his work with former Talking Heads frontman David Byrne as The Pieces of S---. The duo are up for Best Original Song and Best Composers for 'If It Falls, It Falls,' which is featured on the soundtrack to the Sean Penn movie 'This Must Be The Place.'
