Former Kyuss and Fu Manchu drummer Brant Bjork will tour North America this spring. Yesterday, he announced a month-long stretch in support of last year’s Tao of the Devil.

Bjork revealed the dates over at the Obelisk, and he’ll begin at Desert Generator — a festival that he’s curating — by playing a pre-party on April 7 before doing his slot at the festival the next night. From there, he’ll move up the West Coast before heading east, then turn around and go back and close it out at the Echoplex in Los Angeles on May 1.

Royal Thunder and Black Wizard will serve as opening acts, and Pentagram will be on-hand for the Baltimore and New York dates. For complete information, visit Bjork’s website.

Released in September 2016, Tao of the Devil is Bjork’s 11th solo record, which doesn’t count the records he’s made with Kyuss, Fu Manchu, Vista Chino, Mondo Generator and Che. It’s the follow-up to 2014’s Black Flower Power, which he recorded with the Low Desert Punk Band, and was described as “more focused” and “a more song-oriented and groovy stoner sound, with a healthy dose of 70s style greatness.”
