In the new Captain Morgan spiced rum commercial, the fearless Captain helps a prisoner escape from jail. After successfully dodging the authorities, the Captain and his crew raise their glasses in victory while Dropkick Murphys’ ‘Prisoner’s Song’ plays in the background.

The seafaring tune appears on the Celtic punk band’s latest studio effort, ‘Signed and Sealed in Blood,’ which dropped in January via Born & Bred Records and landed at No. 9 on the Billboard 200 chart. The album follows 2011’s ‘Going Out in Style,’ a series of songs that chronicle the somber yet compelling story of the fictitious character Cornelius Larkin.

For the new record, bassist Ken Casey told Billboard.com, the Dropkicks took a different approach. ‘Signed and Sealed in Blood’ is “just us having fun and making the most catchy, singalong kind of songs we can,” he said. “It's not that the last album wasn't fun. It was. 'Going Out in Style' is one of the records I'm most proud of, of anything we've done. But it gave me a couple migraines along the way, getting through that because everything was so connected. This time we cut loose."

Dropkick Murphys are gearing up for a North American tour set to kick off in Honolulu on April 6 and wrap up in Gibbons, Canada, on June 30. They’re also on the lineup for a slew of summer fests, including Coachella, Sasquatch!, Amnesia Rockfest, Kanrocksas and Boonstock Music Festival.
