This photo of Chan Marshall, otherwise known as Cat Power, is one of our favorites for a few different reasons. Cat Power has been very open about the stage fright that she’s encountered throughout her career, often leaving her facing away from the crowd. In this photo, taken during Lilith Fair, a vulnerable Chan Marshall performs facing the crowd, guitar in hand, playing her heart out. Bravely facing her fears to share her talents with the world, Cat Power delivered a raw and emotional set.
