Update: Jack White has issued a statement regarding an NME article posted today (Dec. 5) that was based on a recent interview he gave to the British edition of Esquire magazine. White contends that the NME article misquoted him by incorrectly identifying Lady Gaga's music as the target of a rant he delivered on the state of contemporary celebrity culture. He insists he was instead talking about "the drawbacks of image for the sake of image" and was using "Lady Gaga's presentation" as an example.

"I'm glad you liked that cover! Not everyone likes that album haha," Corgan wrote in a tweet addressed to Paris.

The Daily Mail started rumors on Wednesday that the singer had recently tied the knot by citing a splashy front page of Life and Style magazine that pictured the singer wearing a wedding band alongside a headline that proclaimed: "Married!"

Black Keys Support Pussy Riot by Vowing to Never Play Russia

Black Keys drummer Patrick Carney has announced that the band is boycotting Russia by refusing to ever play there in the wake of Friday's guilty verdict for three members of Pussy Riot. A two-year sentence was handed down for the members of the controversial Russian feminist punk band on charges of hooliganism after performing a "punk prayer" in protest of Russian Vladimir Putin in February at a Russian church.
