Charlotte Sometimes has come a long way since she first landed on our radar at Warped Tour 2008.

In the last 5 years, the 'Voice' finalist has played all over the country and released three, and just last week, she celebrated her 25th birthday with a live show alongside Coley O'Toole.

Today, we wanted to give listeners a taste of what to expect on the emotional 'Circus Head' by offering a free download of the heartbreaking 'Paint The Sky.'

"'Paint The Sky' was the hardest and easiest song I've ever written," Charlotte told Diffuser.fm.

"I wrote it over a bottle of wine with my friend Jay Levine," she adds. "I was telling him how I felt my boyfriend wasn't inspired by our love and wasn't going to be there for me the way I needed him to be. This song was my letter to him, basically begging him to be that person I needed him to be ... but in the end, I was right."
