Every once in awhile a song will grab your attention almost immediately, affecting you to your core, keeping you hooked on all levels -- and thirsty for more. That's what Chase Coy's new single "Youth" did the first time we heard it. The title track for his upcoming LP, "Youth" is also the disc's first single; you can listen to the passionate indie-folk ballad in the audio player below.

The steadfast, banjo-infused track embraces its name with as vibrant and young of a sound as Coy could portray. His modern musical influences keep the traditional folk sound -- that he clearly cherishes -- ever-so fresh and lively.

The Nashville-based singer-songwriter and producer's new self-released record, Youth, is due out this June. It's his first new solo album in nearly six years, serving as the follow-up to 2009's Picturesque; that release landed him the title of one of iTunes' "Best New Folk Artists" that year.

Youth is currently available for pre-order via iTunes. You can stay up-to-date with everything happening in Coy's world at his official website.
