Chris Cornell revealed a couple of exciting things on Twitter yesterday (Jan. 15): Firstly, he’s been Googling himself; and secondly – and perhaps more importantly – he’s working on a new solo album.

In the first of two tweets, Cornell said that on the first day of recording his next solo album, he discovered he shares his name with a known terrorist. In the following tweet, Cornell tweeted a picture confirming that he's back in the studio. Check them out below:

While we still don't know what timeline Cornell has in mind for the new album, whenever it arrives, it will follow his last solo effort, 2009’s Timbaland-produced ‘Scream.’ More recently, the Soundgarden frontman reunited with his band for their first album in 16 years for 2012’s ‘King Animal.’
