Cloud Nothings have announced the April 1 release of their third album, 'Here and Nowhere Else,' and going into the recording, founding frontman Dylan Baldi says, the band decided to add in more positive vibes and instrumental dynamics, rather than bash listeners over the head with rock, as on their first two. You can hear the new approach in the new single, 'I'm Not Part of Me.'

"It's more subtle," Baldi said in a statement. "It's not just an in-your-face rock record. There's more going on. You can listen to a song 20 times and still hear different little things in there that you didn't notice before. Every time I listen I notice something that I didn't even realize we did."

Lyrically, 'I'm Not Part of Me' does seem to talk about a break up and how he is moving on. But there is a sense Baldi is OK with that, and telling the other person that he needs to do things on his own.

"I'm learning to be here and nowhere else / How to focus on what I can do myself / I'm not telling you all I'm going through," he sings.

Not a bad 2014 start for the Cleveland band's new record.
