Given their pitch-perfect harmonies, Au Revoir Simone picked the perfect venue, Judson Memorial Church, to showcase their talent at CMJ. The dream-pop trio stopped there yesterday afternoon for a KEXP showcase (Oct. 17), and the people did rejoice.

Playing at noon certainly has its benefits, as CMJ-ers are relatively awake and alert and just starting their busy days of binge music watching. The ladies engaged the audience by chatting with fans and performing songs from their recently released 'Move In Spectrums' album.

"I feel like we're crowd sourcing soundcheck," Ericka Forster said. "Do I need lipstick, or am I good?"

Playing songs like 'The Lead Is Galloping,' 'Somebody Who' and 'Crazy,' Au Revoir Simone got everyone dancing -- themselves included. One fan came with a sign reading "I'll stay awake for you," a reference to 'Somebody Who,' and the appreciative ladies invited him onstage before the set.
