Coachella 2013 dates have been announced, even though it's barely been a month since the sun set on this year's edition of the annual desert gathering in Indio, Calif. Once again, it will take place over two consecutive weekends: April 12-14, 2013 and April 19-21, 2013.

And now the bad news: Ticket prices for Coachella 2013 have been unveiled, and a presale all-inclusive three-day general admission wristband will set you back $349, service fees included. A presale weekend pass for this year's Coachella cost $315 with fees, meaning next year's passes will be about $34 more. The price increases are pretty much across the board, with the ticket and shuttle combo ($399), VIP passes ($799) and other offerings also bumped up.

Presale tickets for Coachella 2013 go on sale on Thursday, May 17 at 10AM PT on the festival's official website -- well ahead of the announcement of what bands will playing next year, of course. So while you're taking a bit of a risk by buying tickets in advance, presale tickets tickets do come at a decent discount. They are also the only ticket packages that are available through the seven-month payment plan.

Coachella's dates were expanded to two weekends for the first time this year, and the move was a roaring success, with the first weekend's attendance even setting an all-time record (the estimated draw of 80,000-85,000 was up from from last year's 70,000-75,000 estimates, the previous record). This year's Coachella headliners included the Black Keys, Radiohead, and rappers Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg.
