In the lead-up to Coachella 2013, we're asking some of our favorite participating artists to share with us the acts they're most looking forward to catching at this year's festival. Among those goodly enough to pass along a "Can't Miss" list: Deap Vally, two fiercely rocking L.A. ladies who recently chatted us up about their fondness for crocheting, somewhat Black Keysian guitar-and-drum attack and admirable feminist mission.

The duo heads to Coachella to promote their brand-new EP, 'Get Deap,' and following their two weekends in the desert, they'll keep busy through early August with a run of festival appearances and smattering of club dates. While singer and guitarist Lindsey Troy is a formidable musician, she's also a hardcore music fan, and she shared with us the following list of bands she'll stand in the sun to see.

    Beach House

I can't wait to see Beach House. Been wanting to see those dreamy tunes live for some time now.

  • 2

    Savages

Savages because they are some badass mamas. They make fierce, sexy, deliciously spooky music. Their song 'Husbands' is genius.
  • 3

    Father John Misty

Excited to watch Father John Misty. Their record 'Fear Fun' is one of my favorites of 2012. And J. Tillman has some of the best moves around.

    The Yeah Yeah Yeahs

Can't wait to see Yeah Yeah Yeahs. They are one of my favorite bands of all time. I saw them 10 years ago, and it was the best show I have ever seen.

    DIIV

Looking forward to seeing DIIV play again. We toured with them in the U.K. Their live show is shoegaze heaven, and they are one of the coolest looking bands around -- let's face it.
